Shawn is a psychologist with dual master's degrees in Clinical and Organisational Psychology. Shawn is simultaneously seeking two endorsements through the registrar program. An endorsement of registration recognises that a person has additional qualifications and expertise in an approved area of practice.
Shawn approaches therapy as a dedicated space to prioritise your well-being and embark on a journey of self-improvement and discovery. This journey often necessitates embracing vulnerability, which can be uncomfortable initially. By nature, Shawn is caring and sensitive, and his personality obliges him to connect with compassion and to listen with empathy. Shawn is committed to creating a safe and supportive space to explore, understand and navigate life’s challenges with you or your loved ones.
Shawn values the therapeutic alliance as the cornerstone of effective therapy and believes in fostering a compassionate presence and connection through interactive sessions. Shawn believes that the effectiveness of his sessions hinges more on how authentic he can be and how connected and supported his clients feel with him rather than the type of intervention he adopts.
Shawn accepts new referrals periodically to ensure consistent, dedicated support for existing and previously discharged clients. Priority is given to referrals from psychiatrists and cases with acute presentations.
